Kansas City Chiefs visit McQuerry

On Tuesday January 12, 2016 the Kansas City Chiefs visited McQuerry Elementary. While they were there they held an assembly for NFL PLAY 60. NFL PLAY 60 is the National Football League's campaign to encourage kids to be active for 60 minutes a day in order to help reverse the trend of childhood obesity. The assembly was fun as well as educational. In attendance from the Kansas City Chiefs was former player Tony Reed, K.C. Wolf, 2 Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders, as well as the Kansas City Chiefs emcee and media crew. The assembly was roughly 40 minutes long and involved students from McQuerry playing games against K.C. Wolf. At the conclusion of the assembly Tony Reed and K.C. Wolf presented Mr. Hol and McQuerry Elementary a flag that read “This is Chief’s Kingdom” to hang up at McQuerry to commemorate the event.
