OHS Student Poems Published

Congrats to Kennedy Burnell, Katelyn Geary, and Shelby Tate for getting their poems published in the 2017 edition of Young Voices of Missouri, an annual special issue of the Chariton Review that showcases the work of high school-aged writers in Missouri.  Students in Honors Language Arts III class submitted their works in the spring of 2017, and Kennedy's essay, Katelyn's short story, and Shelby's poetry were all selected by the Truman State University Press.  Students from 40 schools across the state submitted their works, including 316 short stories, 35 essays, and 89 sets of poetry.  Only 38 students were published.  Each student received a personal copy of the publication, and a copy of the issue currently resides in the high school library.
