Launch the media gallery 1 player - media #2Eighth grade TARGET students from Odessa Middle School attended the Kansas City Regional National History Day competition at William Chrisman High School in Independence on March 2, 2019.
Caitlyn Sanders took first place in the Junior Individual Exhibit category with her project, Little Rock Nine: Triumph and Tragedy of Integration. Emma Casebeer took third place with her project, Hyatt Regency Skywalk Collapse: Architectural Triumph Turns Devastating Tragedy. Both students advance to state competition, which will be held at the University of Missouri-Columbia, on April 27, 2019.
