OMS Student Takes First at National History Day Competition
Eighth grade T.A.R.G.E.T. students from Odessa Middle School attended the Kansas City Regional National History Day competition at William Chrisman High School in Independence on March 3, 2018. Kyle Quarles took first place in the Junior Individual Exhibit category with his project, Social Conflict During War: Japanese Internment. He advances to state competition, which will be held at the University of Missouri-Columbia, on April 28, 2018. Top two winners in each category at the state level advance to the national competition, which will be held June 10-14, 2018, at the University of Maryland.
